The Chablais is the 4th French Geopark

    What is a Geopark?

First and foremost this is a homestead brought to life by its inhabitants, visitors and local players where the relation between human beings and the earth is an essential element. A geopark includes a particular number of remarkable sites due to their scientific interest, rarity, aesthetic attraction or their educative value. Their interest can also be archeological, historical or natural. It meets the desires and needs of a watchful, more sustainable and authentic tourism, motivated by a return to nature on protected lands.

A destination that includes lake, plains and mountains, the Chablais UNESCO World Geopark offers a diversity of unique landscapes allowing you to change mood and activity all along your stay.

Excursions guided by our mediators, guided tours of unique cultural sites, and hiking itineraries, all make up these geosites.

The wealth of natural, cultural and gastronomical heritage adds a touch of exception to this region and its immersive playground waiting to take you away from it all.
