Here is information on how to get to Thollon-Les-Mémises, how to move around the village and its surroundings.
Coming by Road
▪ Thollon-Les-Mémises is situated 12km from Évian-Les-Bains and 50km from Geneva.
▪ Coming from Paris, Lyon or Annecy direction: take the Annemasse exit and follow direction Thonon/Evian, then Thollon.
▪ Coming from Switzerland: follow Saint-Gingolph, Lugrin, then Thollon.

IMPORTANT
You will need winter tyres or chains for your vehicle from 1stNovember to the end of April. Even if there is no snow on the roads, they are often icy and dangerously slippery. Located in the Portes du Soleil domain our village is only 20 minutes from the Swiss border. Remember to take your ID card. If you are driving on Swiss motorways you will need the Swiss motorway sticker on your windscreen, it is compulsory and valid for the year. It is on sale in Swiss petrol stations or at the customs office at the border.

Terminal for electric cars
The nearest electric recharging terminal is at St-Paul-en-Chablais in the car park beneath the church.

An auto-repair garage for all vehicle brands is in the village. The nearest petrol station is in Vinzier or Lugrin.

Advice to Avoid Any Unnecessary Problems
Have the necessary equipment for winter conditions (winter tyres or chains) for your vehicle from 1st November until the end of April. Even if there is no snow on the roads, there is often black ice and the roads can be very slippery in general.
The village is 20 minutes from the Swiss border. Remember to take your ID cards. If you are driving on the motorways you will need to buy a Swiss vignette to stick onto your windscreen, it is mandatory and valid for the entire year. On sale at petrol stations in Switzerland and at Customs on the border.

By Train

You can come by train to Évian station.Book your train tickets: call 36 35 or go to www.oui.sncf
Next take a direct bus to Thollon. Outside bus circulation times (see the document available to download), you will need to take a taxi to reach the village (see above).

Airplane
The Geneva Cointrin International Airport is 50km from Thollon. From the airport you have 2 main options for reaching Thollon: by train, then bus or taxi.
For the first case there are bus links from the airport to the Geneva Cornavin CCF station. From here you can take a train to Évian, then a bus to Thollon. Otherwise there is the option of taking a taxi. Simpler, quicker, but more expensive.
